Paired Single Wine Tasting. Gerardo and Manuel – Bodegas Gerardo Méndez

Enjoying a good meal in Palermo Restaurant, washed down with an excellent wine is, undoubtedly, one of the greatest pleasures in life. When pairing is perfect, all our senses are delighted at the same time in an unrepeatable moment.
Unfortunately, we don’t always have a sommelier, or, even better, the owner of a wine cellar, available to advise us about how to enjoy wine while we taste a menu in Palermo Restaurant, deliberately designed to be paired with such a wine.
On this Friday, it will be the perfect occasion to enjoy a paired single wine tasting with the owner of one of the best existing albariños, coming from the cellars of Gerardo Méndez Lázaro. The event, which is going to be a paired wine tasting, is starting at nine o’clock in the evening.
The guest wine cellar, with deep roots (La Casa Grande has had vineyard estates registered since 1850), has been carefully updated, without losing its identity, so that Albariño wine can reach our mouths with all its virtues. Popular culture, treasured by three generations, currently represented by Gerardo Méndez Lázaro, a modern wine cultivator , respectful with his given legacy and committed with the quality standards required by nowadays tasters,is fundamental in both the estate and the cellar.
As regards the menu to be tasted by the guests, it can be said to be large and succulent, being a gourmet sampling menu to show the skill and talent of the cooking of Palermo Restaurant. All those fans of this kind of events who want to spend a different Friday evening will be able to have Apple and El Vicio Cheese Bonbon, Corn Maccaroni with Foie, Cantabrian Sea Anchovy with Tomato and Glass Bread, and Traditional Cuttlefish Pie as starters. Main course will present three dishes: Mussels and Octopus Ceviche; Red Mullets with Orange, Cauliflower and Trout Roe; Rosemary Beef Steak and Terrine of Bacon, Cheese and Spring Mushrooms. To finish with, desserts such as Lemon Verbena Junket Custard with Chocolate and Honey Sphere, and Minicasadiellas will be served..
